Biju Paul, Chief Executive Officer:
A long-term resident of Japan and an active Networker, Biju has worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years, a major portion of which was spent with the foreign financial institutions in Japan. Biju was an Assistant Manager with Fidelity Investments Japan until he founded TopTech Japan in 2003. Prior to that, he has worked with financial majors like Merrill Lynch and Jardine Fleming in lead development roles. Major skills include IT Project Management, Application development lead roles, Global deployment of applications, Strategic IT planning, Technical Consulting etc. Outside of his work, Biju plays an active role in the development of cricket in Japan and is the editor of the first and only English language Cricket Newsletter in Japan.
Sachin Nair, Partner, Hong Kong:
Sachin is a proven Business Development & Technology Services leader with 20+ years of international experience with global investment banks, System Integration (SI) companies and startup services organizations. Sachin has proven and successful track record building businesses, working with clients, drive and achieve top-line and bottom-line numbers and delivering services to support business strategy with an emphasis on excellent customer service. Sachin has lived and worked in India, Japan and Hong Kong and is a very passionate and hands-on executive with proven success building and leading international cohesive teams.
Norio Furuya, Director, Japan:
Furuya is IT Industry veteran with over 25 years of experience across various domains such as investment banking, asset management, insurance, internet services etc. As a leader of large projects, Furuya has developed/managed multi-year transformational plans, budgets and P/L targets, led restructuring and transformation efforts resulting in increase of top and bottom line and divestiture of companies. In his roles as Representative Director, President, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with large global companies, Furuya has worked with project stakeholders at C-level, board of directors, regulators, steering committees, business partners and distribution partners to build/lead 500+ persons cross-border organizations and “skunk works” task force teams.
Narayanmoorthy S., Director, Hong Kong:
Narayanmoorthy Sundaresan is a hardcore entrepreneur in the Corporate Business Services, initially starting with Office Automation and moving on to SME Computerisation, Enterprise Information Management in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Far East Regions. He has a successful track record spanning over three decades, two of which have been in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Initiative encompassed bespoke Application Software Development, Project-Oriented Implementation of Vertical Market Solution facilitated by proprietary Intellectual Property and Staff Augmentation solely for the Information Technology industry. This included the provision of IT Staff to H.K government departments. Steve Iijima, Strategic Advisor:
Steve began his career working for Microsoft. During his seven-year tenure, he worked on the first versions of Excel and Word and was in charge of the development of the first version of Chinese Excel. Steve also spent several years in Japan in a role where he was responsible for creating the first integrated version of Excel for the Japanese, Chinese and Korean languages. Steve also worked at HP Japan where he managed the PC marketing business. Most recently, he spent four years at an internet infrastructure firm where he was responsible for Japan operations. Steve has an MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Takashi Uyeda, Strategic Advisor:
Takashi Uyeda is a veteran in the financial market of Tokyo having 20+ years of experience in foreign exchange, fixed income and financial technology. During his career, Uyeda has worked in a variety of roles at SWIFT, Citibank and Morgan Stanley. He has held many senior management level positions of various companies such as Senior Director at FXall, the worlds leading foreign exchange platform, Representative Director at Interactive Data Corporation (previously ADP/GTIS) Japanese office and Senior Director at Xinhua Financial Services. Currently Uyeda heads the Japan office of 360T, a German FX Trading Solutions company.
